M3U playlist not loading in IBO Ultra Pro: what each message means
An M3U link doesn't load in IBO Ultra Pro when its server answers with an error, can't be reached, or your playlist provider has stopped the link. The first sign appears on the website when you save the link, or on your TV when the app downloads the playlist.
This page covers the IBO Ultra Pro TV app on Android TV, Android TV boxes and Fire TV.
When you save the link on the website
The website checks your M3U link when you save it. These messages mean it was not saved:
| Message begins with | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “M3U URL returned [number]. The link doesn't work.” | The playlist's server answered with an error, so the website didn't save the link. | Copy the link again exactly as your provider gave it. If the message comes back, ask your provider for a working link. |
| “This playlist already exists” | This device already has a playlist with the same link. | Use the playlist in your list, or edit it. |
| “Name and URL are required.” | One of the two fields is empty. | Fill in both fields. |
The website shows the first two messages in English, whatever language you use.
If the playlist's server doesn't answer at all, the website saves the link without checking it. Your TV then shows the problem when the app downloads the playlist.
When your M3U link is saved as Xtream Codes
Some providers give a link that contains get.php with a username and password. When you save such a link as M3U, the website saves it as an Xtream Codes login instead: it takes the server address, username and password from the link and checks them with your provider's server when the server answers. If you then see a message about an Xtream panel or Xtream credentials, read messages for links saved as Xtream Codes.
When the TV app downloads the playlist
On your TV, the app reports problems when it downloads the playlist from your account:
| Message begins with | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “…is being downloaded now” | The app found your playlist and is still downloading it. | Wait a few minutes, as the message says, then try again. |
| “The server refused the download” | Your provider's server refused the download; the message shows the reason it gave. | Check the M3U link on the website, then press RELOAD. |
| “The download could not be started” | The app couldn't start the download. | Check your TV's internet connection and the playlist on the website, then press RELOAD. |
| “You don't have any playlist added yet” | The app finds no playlist for this device. | Sign in on this website with the MAC address shown on your TV, then add your M3U link: see the website steps for adding an M3U link. |
The playlist loads, but something is missing
Movies and Series appear when you use an Xtream Codes login. M3U playlists open in the Live section. Read why M3U shows only Live channels.
If some Live categories are missing, they may be hidden in the app's Settings: see hidden categories and other checks.
If the link still doesn't work
Your playlist provider controls the link and what it contains. If the link has stopped working, only your provider can give you a working one.
If the link works in another media player but not in IBO Ultra Pro, describe the M3U problem to support.
