This Privacy Policy explains how the IBO Ultra Pro mobile application (“the App”, Android package name com.iboultrapro.player) handles information when you use it on your Android device. The App is a general-purpose media player. It is designed to work with the minimum amount of data required to play the media you provide.
About the App
The App is published under the name “IBO Ultra Pro” and identified in Google Play by the package name com.iboultrapro.player. It is a media player that plays audio and video contained in playlist URLs that you enter yourself. The App does not host, distribute, or sell any video content, subscriptions, or channels.
Information the App handles
- Playlist information The playlist URL you enter, and any username, password or token contained in that URL. This information is stored locally on your device so the App can reload your media. It is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to the server that hosts your playlist so that server can return the streams to the App.
- Device information A local device identifier and basic technical details such as the Android version, device model, screen resolution and preferred language. This is used to remember your device between sessions and to select a compatible video decoder.
- In-app preferences Your language, theme, parental PIN and other in-app preferences. These are stored locally on your device.
- Diagnostic information If the App fails to load a playlist or crashes, it may send an anonymous diagnostic report containing the device model, Android version and error type. Diagnostic reports never contain playlist credentials or personal information.
Information the App does not collect
- The App does not require you to create an account, and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or postal address in order to use it.
- The App does not access your contacts, SMS messages, call history, photos, or files outside its own storage.
- The App does not collect precise location. It does not read GPS or Wi‑Fi location.
- The App does not activate your microphone or camera.
- The App does not use your data to serve advertising and does not embed third-party advertising SDKs.
How the App uses this information
Information handled by the App is used only to make the App work: to load and play the media contained in the playlist URL you provide, to remember your preferences between sessions, and to diagnose problems when the App fails. It is not used for advertising, behavioral profiling, or resale.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. The App shares information with a limited number of third parties, only as needed to operate:
- Playlist provider The playlist URL you enter is sent to the server that hosts that playlist so it can return the streams. That server is chosen by you and is not operated by us. You should review the privacy policy of the provider of the playlist you use.
- Hosting infrastructure Diagnostic reports and device identifiers are stored on servers operated by us on standard cloud infrastructure, protected by access controls and encryption in transit.
- Legal requirements We may disclose information if we are required to do so by a valid legal request from a competent authority.
Security
All network traffic between the App and our servers uses HTTPS with modern TLS. Credentials stored on our servers are encrypted at rest. Access to backend systems is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by strong authentication. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information the App handles.
International data transfers
Our servers are located in the European Union. If you use the App from another country, information handled by the App will be transferred to and processed in the European Union under the safeguards required by applicable data protection law.
Data retention
Playlist information stored locally on your device remains there until you remove the playlist inside the App or uninstall the App. Diagnostic reports and device identifiers stored on our servers are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted or fully anonymized.
Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to the App, contact us at contact@iboultrapro.com and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on your country of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the information the App holds about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@iboultrapro.com.
How to delete your data
You can remove the information handled by the App in the following ways:
- Open the App, go to Settings › Privacy › Delete data, and confirm. This removes all playlists, preferences and identifiers stored on your device and requests deletion of the associated server-side records.
- Alternatively, uninstalling the App from your device removes all data stored locally by the App.
- To request deletion of the diagnostic and device information stored on our servers, send an email to contact@iboultrapro.com with the subject “Delete my data”. We will complete the request within 30 days.
Cookies and similar technologies
The App is a native Android application and does not use browser cookies. Small amounts of technical data (device identifier, preferences) are stored in the App’s local storage on your device so it can function.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at https://iboultrapro.com/app-privacy. Substantial changes will be announced inside the App before they take effect.
